Salary and Benefits:
Term: Full-time, 3-year term
Location: Yellowknife, NT (other Northern locations will be considered on a case-by-case basis)
Salary and Benefits:
- Base salary (ranging from $55,000 to $70,000 based on education and relevant work experience)
- Northern Top-Up ($20,000 if you reside in the Northwest Territories, the Yukon or Nunavut)
- Full Benefits & Annual RRSP Contributions

The role
The Curriculum Lead is integral to EntrepreNorth’s mission to empower Indigenous entrepreneurs to build sustainable businesses and livelihoods across the North. This role takes EntrepreNorth’s curriculum pathway and implements an eLearning Strategy that centers The Multi-Directional Business Compass and honours the integrity of Indigenous worldviews, values, and cultures.
An exciting aspect of this role is the production of dynamic and engaging online content that is scalable (e.g., Level 1, 2 and 3 programming) to a diverse range of learners. Plus, leading the development of educational and micro-credential partnerships that are mission-aligned. The Curriculum Lead works in close collaboration with the EntrepreNorth team, hired contractors, and program facilitators to ensure synergy across all program platforms, partnerships, and offerings.

Key Outcomes for this Role
- A growing movement of Indigenous entrepreneurs who are equipped with the knowledge, skills and self-confidence to start and grow a business and develop a sustainable livelihood
- Indigenous entrepreneurs are supported by a curriculum and set of learning resources that are culturally relevant, grounded in The Multi-Directional Business Compass, and reflective of Indigenous ways of knowing, being and doing
- The curriculum, learning framework, and educational tools are regularly reviewed, refreshed, and customized, to ensure they continue to have a positive impact for Indigenous entrepreneurs and the North
- The curriculum and e-learning strategy are well aligned with EntrepreNorth’s strategic goals, objectives, and program offerings, and are implemented through clear deliverables and timelines
- There are mission-aligned and value-add partnerships in place that provide alternative pathways for learners to obtain credentials that support their education, employment, and entrepreneurial pursuits
- There is a network of trained Indigenous facilitators who are certified to deliver EntrepreNorth’s program curriculum (levels 1, 2 and 3) in communities across the North
- There is integration and deployment of technology and digital solutions that support the pathways of learner growth and development
Strengths and Experience
- An experienced and skilled Educator and/or Instructional Designer, with a university level qualification in education, business management, or a related field
- Has strong knowledge of Indigenous-centered learning and instructional design methodologies
- Is experienced in creating and facilitating educational programming within Indigenous spaces
- Loves to use technology and online content production as a method for elevating educational experiences
- Has excellent planning and organizational skills and can manage multiple tasks and priorities
- An excellent communicator who collaborates effectively with diverse stakeholders, including educators, community members, and subject matter experts
- A highly self-motivated leader, who is able to take initiative and problem-solve to see projects through to completion
- Is a valuable and effective team member who is able to work in a team environment that spans the North, both in person and virtually
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Appreciates and is open to travel opportunities across the North
